New York, NY (Sports Network) - Columbus Crew forward Emilio Renteria was
suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount Tuesday by MLS.
Renteria was punished by the MLS Disciplinary Committee after a head butt over
the weekend to Sporting Kansas City's Paulo Nagamura. The infraction happened
in the second half of Saturday's 2-0 loss to Kansas City.
With two goals this season, Renteria is tied for third on the Crew in scoring.
He will miss Saturday's home match against D.C. United.
