Secaucus, NJ -- With the 25th overall pick of the 1st round, the Rays selected Clemson third-baseman Richie Shaffer in the MLB First-Year Player Draft.
Shaffer is a power-hitting third-baseman, 6'3" 205 lbs.
Shaffer became the first Clemson player to earn 1st Team All-ACC honors at two different positions.
