Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Cody
McLeod to a three-year contract extension.
The deal was announced Monday and keeps McLeod, 27, with the Avs through the
2014-15 season.
In 75 games this past season, McLeod had six goals and five assists. His 164
penalty minutes were a team-high and marked the fifth straight season in which
he registered 100 or more.
He also led the team with 17 fighting majors, one shy of a his career high.
In five NHL seasons -- all with Colorado -- McLeod has 37 goals and 29 assists
for 66 points to go with 773 penalty minutes.
