Irving, TX (Sports Network) - The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with
cornerback Morris Claiborne on a four-year contract.
The fully guaranteed four-year deal is worth a reported $16.4 million,
including a $10.3 million signing bonus. There is an option for a fifth
season.
The Cowboys moved up from 14th to No. 6 in this year's draft to land the LSU
product.
He was unable to practice all offseason because of a wrist injury that
required surgery prior to the draft. Claiborne is expected to practice
Wednesday when rookies, first-year players, quarterbacks and selective
veterans report for training camp.
Claiborne intercepted six passes in 2011, when he was named a first-team All-
American and winner of the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the year's best
defensive back.
