Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Timberwolves waived guard Martell Webster and traded center Brad Miller to New Orleans in exchange for a future conditional second round pick on Friday.

Webster appeared in 47 games -- 26 starts -- for Minnesota this season, averaging 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

The seven-year pro has averaged 8.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game since he was selected with the sixth overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NBA Draft by the Portland Trailblazers.

Webster was traded to Minnesota June 24, 2010 in exchange for Ryan Gomes and the draft rights to Luke Babbitt.

Miller appeared in just 15 games this past season, scoring 2.3 points per game. The Timberwolves also sent a pair of upcoming second round draft pick to New Orleans.

The moves come a day after Minnesota designated Darko Millic as the franchise's amnesty player as the Timberwolves continue to clear salary cap room in an attempt to complete an offer sheet with Portland forward Nicolas Batum.
