Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Tennessee State's football program is heading
into preseason camp with two new FBS additions.
On Thursday, coach Rod Reed announced the addition of running back Darion Hall
from the University of Miami and tight end A.C. Leonard from the University of
Florida.
Hall, a native of Naples, Fla., played in one game as a redshirt freshman last
year.
Leonard, a Jacksonville producted, appeared in nine games as a freshman last
year, catching eight passes for 99 yards. In April, he pleaded no contest to a
charge of misdemeanor battery stemming from an altercation with his live-in
girlfriend
Said Reed: "A.C. Leonard was one of the top tight ends in the country coming
out of high school. With the youth we have at running back, we needed a veteran
presence and we decided to bring in Darion. These two young men will be
valuable additions to our team."
Tennessee State players will report to preseason camp on Sunday. Their first
practice will be held Monday.
