Bellefonte, PA (Sports Network) - Jerry Sandusky did not take the stand at his
trial on child sex abuse charges and the defense rested its case on Wednesday.
According to the Centre Daily Times, closing arguments are expected to begin
Thursday.
Sandusky is charged with 51 counts of sexual offenses against 10 children over
a 15-year span. The former Penn State assistant football coach was arrested in
November and has denied all allegations.
There were indications from defense attorneys at the start of the proceedings
that Sandusky would testify in his own defense. He did not.
The trial was in its seventh day on Wednesday.
