New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - New Orleans Hornets rookie guard Austin
Rivers underwent surgery Friday to clean out bone spurs in his right ankle.
The team said the injury flared up during the NBA Summer League last week in
Las Vegas. He is expected to be ready for training camp this fall.
Rivers was selected with the 10th overall pick of this year's NBA Draft after
one standout season at Duke. He averaged 15.5 points and became the third
freshman in the storied program's history to lead the Blue Devils in scoring.
