Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired third baseman
Chris Johnson from Houston in exchange for outfielders Marc Krauss and Bobby
Borchering.
The 27-year-old Johnson hit .279 with eight home runs and 41 RBI in 92 games
with the Astros this season.
Johnson has hit .274 with 26 homers in parts of four seasons in his career
with Houston.
Krauss, 24, hit .283 with 15 home runs and 61 RBI in 104 games with Double-A
Mobile this season. He was Arizona's second-round pick in 2009.
Borchering, 21, was the 16th overall pick in 2009 and has hit .247 with 20
homers and 68 RBI between Single-A Visalia and Mobile. Borchering played first
and third base before moving to the outfield in 2012.
The Sports Network
