New York, NY (Sports Network) - Major League Baseball announced the
suspensions of two Chicago Cubs minor league pitchers on Wednesday following
their violations of the minor league drug prevention and treatment program.
Juancito De La Cruz and Antonio Encarnacion, who are currently on the roster
of the Dominican Summer League Cubs, were both suspended 50 games after
testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol.
Both suspensions are without pay and are effective immediately.
