Yankees complete sweep in rain-shortened game

Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Mark Teixeira hit a two-run home run as the New York Yankees topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-0, in a rain-shortened game to complete a three-game sweep at Yankee Stadium.

The game was called due to rain after the top of the seventh inning.

Dewayne Wise added a pair of RBI while Jayson Nix finished with two hits, an and two runs scored for the Yankees, who finished a six-game homestand with a 5-1 record.

Hiroki Kuroda (9-7) tossed all seven innings for New York, scattering four hits and striking out five.

Ricky Romero (8-6) surrendered all six runs on 12 hits and two walks in six innings for Toronto, which has dropped four of its last six.
