Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers activated pitcher Colby Lewis
off the 15-day disabled list to start Wednesday's game against the Athletics.
Lewis was placed on the DL on June 26 because of right forearm tendinitis. The
right-hander was 6-6 with a 3.51 earned run average in 15 starts before
landing on the disabled list.
To make room for Lewis on the active roster, Texas optioned pitcher Martin
Perez to Triple-A Round Rock. He was 1-1 with a 5.54 ERA in four games (two
starts) with the Rangers.
