Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Adam Lind finished with four hits and drove in
four runs as Toronto made an early surge then held on late to beat Cleveland,
11-9, in the middle test of a three-game series.
Edwin Encarnacion hit a pair of homers and totaled three RBI for the Blue
Jays, who won for the second time in their last six. Yunel Escobar added a
two-run shot and J.P. Arencibia doubled twice and drove in a run.
Aaron Laffey (1-1) allowed eight hits and four runs over five innings for the
win.
Shelley Duncan collected three hits including a two-run blast, and knocked in
three for the Indians, who have lost three of five. Michael Brantley and Casey
Kotchman added late two-run homers in defeat.
Ubaldo Jimenez (8-8) lasted just 2 1/3 innings, charged with seven hits and
eight runs with four walks.
