ORLANDO, Fla. (WKMG) - An Orange County woman was arrested after deputies say she left her toddler Saturday night to go out partying.
Nicole Finnell, 24, was arrested and charged with child neglect after her son was found wandering the streets and crying late Saturday night.
A woman found the toddler crying and called 911, deputies said. When authorities arrived, they found a house with open doors and saw Finnell drive by the house in a blue Chevy Malibu with passengers.
Deputies tracked the vehicle and questioned the passengers, who said they believed Finnell dropped her child off with a babysitter before going out with them, though never saw or heard Finnell talk to a babysitter. The group had been at a house party playing beer pong before going dancing at Cowboys, a night club on South Orange Blossom Trail.
After Finnell was taken into custody, she told deputies that she had dropped off the child with a sitter but could not give any additional information about the sitter besides a first name. According to deputies, Finnell never asked about the well being of her child.
