Bank robber hits two banks in one day

Lakeland, Florida -- Detectives are searching for the man who robbed two banks in two counties in one day last week.

On July 27, the man hit the TD Bank in Apollo Beach at 9 a.m. while wearing a motorcycle helmet. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash leaving behind his red bicycle.

Later that day at 4:30, detectives say he hit the Bank of America at 2301 South Florida Avenue in Lakeland, this time without his motorcycle helmet.

He is described as a black male, 25-30 years, 6' - 6'2", 180-250 lbs., Stocky build. Last seen wearing a black/blue/white full face motorcycle helmet with charcoal gray jacket with blue stripes, charcoal gray gloves, black shorts with gray stripes, black socks and white tennis shoes.
