St. Petersburg, Florida -- A St. Petersburg man is in custody on numerous child porn charges after he was caught sharing and distributing images of young boys engaged in sex acts.
The U.S. State Attorney's Office says 33-year-old Andrew Kromer used a social networking site to share and receive the images and videos.
During a search of his home on June 13, agents seized his laptop and found hundreds of images of child porn, some including sex acts performed on children as young as toddlers.
During an interview, Kromer admitted to investigators he used the file sharing program to download and share the images.
If convicted, Kromer faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison on each distribution charge and 10 years on each possession charge.
