LOS ANGELES (AP) - HBO says it is cancelling its horse racing series "Luck" following the death of a third horse during the production of the series that starred Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte.
The decision on Wednesday was made by the network and executive producers David Milch and Michael Mann.
HBO says that the network maintained the highest safety standards throughout production. But the network says that "accidents unfortunately happen" and it would be impossible to guarantee that future accidents wouldn't occur.
