Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz present an award onstage during the 84th Academy Awards.
(USA TODAY) -- Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz lit up the Oscar stage, and the Twitterverse, when they presented awards for costume design and makeup.
Diaz said that famed designer Edith Head said a dress "should be tight enough to show you're a woman." And J.Lo added, "but loose enough to show you're a lady."

There was nothing loose about the American Idol judge's Zuhair Murad dress, and as she spoke, her left breast seemed to be inching out of its wrapping.
Tweeted Bravo honcho Andy Cohen: "I spy J-Lo's aureole! It's not gonna get more exciting than this tonight."
Stories began popping up saying she'd had a wardrobe malfunction.
But did she really?
Backstage, USA TODAY's Bryan Alexander reports that show producer Brian Grazer congratulated the two on a "really sexy" presentation.
Jennifer Lopez's stylist, Mariel Haenn, wants us to know there was no problem with her client's dress.
"The Oscar dress was custom made for Jennifer by designer Zuhair Murad. The dress fit perfectly to her every inch," says Haenn in a statement to Lifeline Live. "There were cups built in and there's no chance that there were any - how do you say? - 'slips.' While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, the joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something!"
P.S., says Haenn, "If you thought that dress was hot wait until you see what's next."
