According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Bynes splashed a bottle of gasoline on her boyfriend's torso and genital area and lit him on fire during an argument.
Bynes told Marion County sheriff's deputies that she was shaking a bottle of gasoline and flicking a lighter during an argument but didn't mean to set her boyfriend on fire.
The man was taken to Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville with second- and third-degree burns. His condition is not known.
Bynes bonded out on $10,000 bond early Sunday morning.
