You wouldn't believe the junk food that sits out in our newsroom--or maybe you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. We have cakes, doughnuts, and other creations that have so many preservatives they'd last all week!
I always make sure I am stuffed before I enter the station so I am not tempted to pig out.
I have a couple of quick breakfasts I like to eat.
I really like plain, Greek yogurt. It's thick and can even double as a dessert!
It's tough to eat plain yogurt by itself so I like to add a few drops of Vanilla Liquid Stevia to my yogurt--You can buy a variety of flavors at Whole Foods. Just look in the supplement section.
This naturally sweet herb (used in South America & Japan) has zero calories and no chemicals or carbs.
I mix it into my yogurt and then top it with raw walnuts, raw almonds and organic dried goji berries. Goji berries are loaded with antioxidents. I like to mix them into a simple fruit & nut trail mix too. I like dried goji berries because unlike raisins and other dried fruits, they don't contain added sweeteners.
I've also mixed in frozen organic berries--right from the bag! It makes a great summer yogurt dessert.
